You’ll work mainly in Oberhaching, Germany, but are available also for traveling abroad.
Your contribution to develop specified Valmet applications in projects is expected, as well as active support to our service sales team. You’ll promote service solutions that brings added value to our customers, and you’ll train our customers to use Valmet systems.
As a Senior Project Engineer, QCS (m/f/d), you’ll serve our customers providing planned maintenance, troubleshooting and service top class delivery projects including definition, engineering testing and start-up, the focus being on quality and control systems in the pulp and paper (e.g., quality and control systems in process industries). You’ll work independently to deliver one off service activities, as well as more demanding upgrades and extensions. You’ll participate in project implementation and start-up together with our project resources or as part of a team, depending on project size, to ensure the success of the project both for Valmet and the customer.
Your main task and responsibilities will be:
Implementation and support of commissioning in the field of Quality / Process Control Technology
Organization of maintenance work and troubleshooting’s
Tasks are largely project-related
The focus is on close cooperation with our customers
Support our sales team
Active lifecycle management for process control technology
To succeed in this role, you will need:
A completed bachelor’s degree in Automation Technology or similar
Minimum of 2 years related working experience
A high affinity for technology
Ideally a background from the paper industry or related areas, such as the printing or textile industry from technology or production
Good organizational and communication skills
Excellent customer orientation
Flexibility in thinking and acting
Very good written and spoken English and German
Driving license class B
Willingness to travel
