Airworthiness Engineer (m/w/d)

Tasks
As a member of the Airworthiness office team you will support the Head of Airworthiness in his duties related to:
safety of flight
initial airworthiness and
continued airworthiness
of aircraft for which Dornier Seawings GmbH (DSG) is the Design holder.
Such as:
support to the company in explanation of airworthiness related topics and issues.
managing all activities related to the initial airworthiness (certification) and continued airworthiness of the design for which Dornier Seawings GmbH (DSG) is the approval holder.
managing the type investigation process and all activities related to assure and maintain the safety of flight of prototype aircrafts.
managing the activities related to assure and maintain the safety of flight of the prototype aircrafts.
managing the certification process with the EASA as well as foreign validation processes with foreign Aviation Authority, EASA and NAA.
Requirements:
The Candidate shall have a minimum of 2 years of experience in at least one of the following technical fields:
Aircraft structures
Aircraft systems integration
Aircraft systems design
profound knowledge of COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) No 748/2012 Annex I (Part 21) Subparts A, B, D and/or E as well as Q and especially J.
Knowledge of COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) No 748/2012 Annex I (Part 21) Subparts G, K, M, O, and/or P is desirable but not explicitly required.
Knowledge of the associated AMC/GM is expected.
profound knowledge and a minimum experience of at least 2 years in compliance demonstration activities related to the certification of aircraft. Experience gained in a small / large aeroplane environment is preferred but equivalent experience in a small / large rotorcraft environment will be considered.
fluent English skills and familiar with aviation terminology.
Other technical fields such as aerodynamics or cabin safety may be considered:
Experience as a CVE is desirable but not explicitly required.
a solid understanding of configuration management and at least a basic understanding of requirements management and project management in the context of Aircraft Certification Projects.
basic knowledge of ICA and OSD.
understanding of the EASA LOI concept.
solid understanding of the interfaces between Design Organisation and Production Organization as well as Design Organization and Part 145 Maintenance Organization.
sufficient understanding of the terms compliance and conformity as well as the means required to state both.
be familiar with the term Airworthiness Approval as well as the legal aspects required to issue it.
advanced skills in MS Excel (Pivot Tables) and at least solid skills in MS Word.
Skills in MS Excel VBA as well as Teamcenter are desirable but not explicitly required.
Knowledge and/or experience in process management methods such as SIPOC and Value Chain Management is desirable but not explicitly required.
